The depiction of ornithological content has a long scientific and artistic tradition. Since I have been intensively involved with field observations, specimens, and morphological studies, I have known the high value of precise, reduced representations in ornithology. We translate complex characteristics such as plumage structures, flight movements or species-specific differences into clear, understandable images. This is how identification charts, teaching materials, infographics, illustrations of habitats or behaviours are created as visual tools for knowledge transfer. Ornithological illustrations serve research, nature conservation and education equally. Clients include museums, nature conservation organisations, publishers, research institutes and environmental foundations.
