Medical drawings explain in a model-like fashion
Representations of anatomical and medical-surgical content have a long tradition. Since I was allowed to draw from real specimens and in the operating theatre during my studies, I have known about the great benefit of abstraction skills in medical illustrations. We translate confusing structures and complex processes into legible images. Patient brochures, medical charts, scientific articles, teaching materials, mechanisms of action of drugs, etc. Medical illustrations function as important means of communication in research as well as in education. Clients include publishing scientists, publishers, foundations, clinics, pharmaceutical companies and universities.
